Frequently Asked Questions
Are taxes due on donations between relatives?
Donations between spouses or direct-line relatives (parents and children) benefit from reduced tax or an exemption under the Fiscal Code (Codul Fiscal). The notary fee still applies.
Can a donation be revoked?
A donation is in principle irrevocable. Revocation is possible only in cases strictly provided by law: ingratitude or failure to fulfill the attached obligations.
